This tax will be based on the value determined under Section 15 and will be charged at rates not exceeding twenty percent, as notified by the Government upon the recommendations of the Council. The tax shall be collected in the prescribed manner and will be payable by the taxable person.

2.Tax on Petroleum Products: The central tax on the supply of petroleum crude, high-speed diesel, motor spirit (commonly known as petrol), natural gas, and aviation turbine fuel will be levied from a date to be notified by the Government, based on recommendations from the Council.
