  • A detailed explanation of these options follows.

    Dashboard

The first option on the top navigation bar, the Dashboard, provides a comprehensive overview of your profile information. It allows taxpayers to quickly access important details, create challans, and file their returns directly from this screen.

    Services

The Services tab is one of the most essential sections available to users after logging into the portal. It offers a wide range of functionalities. Here’s a brief overview of the services accessible through this tab:

    Registration Tab
    Ledgers Tab
    Returns Tab
    Payments Tab
    Refunds Tab

What is the e-way Bill System?

  • The e-way bill system, available at https://ewaybillgst.gov.in/, is an electronic document that transporters must carry when transporting goods worth over ₹50,000 from one location to another. It ensures compliance with GST regulations and simplifies tax reporting for businesses.

When a transporter moves goods, they must generate a unique e-way bill number linked to the invoice. This number is used by the supplier, recipient, and transporter during the transit of goods, and it is valid within a specified time period. Unlike the earlier system, where waybills were state-specific, the e-way bill system works seamlessly across all states and Union Territories in India.
