AURIGA ACCOUNTING PRIVATE LIMITED TNRERA Registration Complete Process and Guidelines

Investing in property is a major decision, and ensuring safety and transparency in real estate transactions is essential for buyers. The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) plays a vital role in this regard. Established under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, TNRERA regulates the real estate sector and addresses challenges faced by homebuyers.

Under the TNRERA Act, promoters must register their real estate projects before advertising, marketing, or selling any plot, apartment, or building. This registration ensures projects comply with regulatory standards and provides added security for property buyers.

In this article, we explore the TNRERA registration process and approvals, including registration procedures for projects covered under RERA. Auriga Accounting pvt. ltd. provides expert assistance for obtaining Tamil Nadu RERA registration for agents, ensuring smooth compliance with all regulatory requirements.

RERA Act

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, commonly known as the RERA Act, was introduced by the Government of India to bring transparency, accountability, and efficiency to the real estate sector. It aims to protect the rights of homebuyers by addressing challenges such as project delays, fraudulent practices, and lack of regulatory oversight. By streamlining processes and ensuring legal compliance, the RERA Act enhances trust and confidence in real estate transactions for buyers and developers alike.

Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA)

In 2017, the Government of Tamil Nadu established the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) as a statutory body to safeguard the interests of homebuyers and developers while providing efficient dispute resolution. TNRERA also oversees the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The authority enforces RERA provisions in Tamil Nadu, regulating aspects such as project registration, applicability, buying and selling processes, and more. TNRERA ensures clarity and compliance through nine structured chapters covering essential duties under the Act, including:

  • Verification of documents submitted by builders for project registration.

  • Acceptance of disclosures from promoters regarding existing projects.

  • Approval or rejection of RERA registration applications in accordance with regulations.

  • Renewal of registration for agents.

  • Systematic handling of complaints and dispute resolution.
